Picture shirts put a full-color photo — a pet, a family portrait, a favorite memory — right on the garment. The key is choosing a printing method built for photos and starting with a high-quality image.
Here is how to make picture shirts that look sharp and last.
DTG: prints the photo directly into cotton for the softest feel and excellent detail. Best on light 100% cotton shirts.
DTF: prints the photo onto a transfer that presses onto any fabric and color, very vibrant and durable.
Sublimation: for all-over photo prints, but only on white/light polyester.
Use the highest-resolution photo you have — aim for a large, sharp image; low-resolution photos look blurry when enlarged.
Good lighting and focus in the original photo matter more than any print setting.
Upload your photo to our online designer to preview it on the shirt, or send it to us and we will optimize it for print.
Print it with DTG (into cotton), DTF (a transfer that presses onto any fabric), or sublimation (all-over on polyester). Upload your photo and we print and ship it.
Use the largest, sharpest image you have. A high-resolution photo prints crisp; a small or blurry image will look pixelated when enlarged.
Yes — DTF prints full-color photos on dark shirts easily. DTG can too, using a white under-base.
